The White Poplar is one of my favourite venues in Manitoba. Nestled just outside Winnipeg, this venue is a quiet retreat into the Manitoba prairies, combining the tranquility of nature with crisp modern touches. With its sprawling 70 acres, it provided a beautiful, peaceful setting that beautifully complemented Laura and Nick's wedding day. From the charm of the outdoor spaces to the cozy ambience of the pavilion, it was the perfect backdrop to a beautiful day!

I loved the colour palette they'd chosen - the two-piece bridesmaid dresses in white and coral were super unique and popped alongside some vibrant florals. We weren't sure what the weather would hold - and even with a sprinkling of rain, we were able to get some amazing shots under those big prairie skies. Hearing the couple's journey through some of the reception speeches from family and friends was incredibly moving - this was a bond that had gone through some of life's biggest challenges, as the most solid unit and team. It was the kind of "us against the world" love you always dream of existing in the real world. This was such a beautifully moving day to have the honour of photographing—capturing the purest of raw emotion is genuinely the biggest privilege of my job.

Big congratulations to this wonderful couple <3
