We are happy to offer several packages from basic ceremony and formals to full-day, as well as offering custom invitations, engagement session, heirloom-quality albums, canvas prints, slideshows, and more! If one of our packages doesn’t quite meet your needs, simply get in touch with your requirements, and we’re happy to customize something for you. No request is too large or too small. You can view our standard packages above, but if you only require photography for a portion of your day, we’d be happy to accommodate!

That would be a big NO! Many photographers out there only advertise the cost of shooting for the day, and couples are often surprised with additional costs when they want to have high-resolution, unwatermarked copies of the photos themselves. The price you see is the price you pay, and with most packages, this includes a USB in a custom wooden keepsake box with all high-res, unwatermarked, professionally edited images from the day, as well as a shareable digital gallery. Your photos come with a print release – you can then print as many as you like! Just please don't print them at Walmart. (I can point you in the right direction, or you can order prints through us!)

Yes. A 30% retainer is required to reserve any wedding date. This retainer is non-refundable (as we will then be turning down other inquiries on that date), so please ensure your venue is booked before you reserve your date! The deposit will be applied to the total cost of the package, and can be made via cash, cheque, or online (PayPal or electronic Interac transfer). This amount is subtracted from the final balance. Our prices do not include tax - similar to when you look at a pricetag of an item in a store; the tax will be added at the register. All prices are subject to 5% GST as per Manitoba law.

Final payment of the remainder of the balance is due two weeks prior to your wedding date. It's often easiest for most couples to arrange this prior to the day so you don’t have to worry about tying up any loose ends on your wedding day - this is also a good time for us to go over your final timeline for the day, too. No images will be edited, processed or provided prior to balance being paid. Remaining balance can be paid in lump sum or in installments leading up to the day.

Yes! We have a team of photographers based in Winnipeg and Regina, and have shot weddings throughout Manitoba, elsewhere in Canada, and internationally. Prices listed cover locations within the cities of Winnipeg and Regina. A mileage charge of $0.60/km applies to any locations outside their respective perimeters. For destinations in other provinces or countries, please inquire - this is typically the cost of travel/ single-occupancy accommodation, and a small fee for shooting while there.

No, they cannot, and yes, we do mind. Firstly: it’s difficult to do our job with someone right over our shoulder trying to copy us. It’s also not great when we get home to edit your images only to find cellphone copies taken by friends already on Facebook. Secondly, let’s put it this way: if you were going in for surgery and had spent time getting to know your surgeon, talked long and hard about what he was going to do to you and how he was going to do it, and what the end result would be… how would you feel if you woke up from the anaesthetic and he smiled at you, saying “hey, I didn’t think you’d mind, but I invited my cousin to do the work for me. Don’t worry, I watched the whole time!” You’d be a little more than upset. Same here! The fact is, the images we deliver to you are not just pictures of you, they’re also part of us. We put ourselves into each one. No photographer shoots or edits the exact same way. The composition, colour grading, retouching, stylistic approach… everything came from within us. Having someone else, or even (shudder) Instagram change something is literally like saying “What you did wasn’t enough.” No-one wants to feel that way – especially photographers.

Additionally, our RAW files are of no use to you - they need to be professionally processed in order to even be able to use them. Asking your photographer for the RAW files is like asking your cake vendor for an extra bag of flour on the side. It’s only a partial ingredient in the overall product and is pretty useless on its own. Clients often ask for RAW photos because they think they are a higher quality image than JPEGs; truth is, many professional printing companies require you to submit your images via JPEG. Your gallery is hand-selected to ensure every moment is delivered in the best way possible.

You can expect a mixture of the two, for different looks, and many of your images will be provided in both colour and black and white versions. We also go through your style and preferences right after booking (light and airy, bold and vibrant, moody, dramatic...) to ensure the mood and final editing style is as you envision.

We want to accommodate all, however, bookings are based on a first-come, first-served basis. We cannot guarantee reservation of a date that has not been booked with a retainer – this is designed to secure your date. If your date is already booked up with Emily personally, we do have a team of five amazing photographers, and Emily takes on all the editing, post-processing and delivery personally for every wedding.

Absolutely – many couples enjoy this option and can then select whichever images they wish to print at their lab of choice (if going this route, we do have recommendations in terms of print quality!), however for optimal quality, we recommend ordering any print items directly through us. Images provided are high resolution, and not watermarked. When you receive your photos, you also receive full print release. We do however ask that you do not edit the photos yourself (Instagram filters, etc.), and please don’t order prints from images we post on social media. These are web-quality, not print-quality, and the resolution will leave you wondering if you should really follow up on that laser eye surgery consultation.

Images from any hour-long session are typically ready within three weeks. A full wedding with images from multiple photographers takes a little longer to edit, but images are provided within eight weeks maximum.

An engagement session is a great opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera, to capture your excitement, to dress up, go adventuring, explore favourite haunts, or get photos for Save-the-Dates or holiday cards later in the year. Regularly $350, add a one-hour engagement session to your wedding package for only $200.

We do have seasoned graphic designers on staff who have experience designing all aspects of wedding stationery (invitations, programs, seating charts, thank-you cards, etc.), however sometimes all you need is one thing. Stationery as well as albums and prints after the wedding can all be added à la carte – just mention what you need and a quantity when inquiring, and we’ll make it happen.

Yes. Have fun. Your wedding shouldn’t be a headache. You’re celebrating, with your closest friends and loved ones, a love that you and your fiance share. That’s something that no one can ever take away from you. Revel in it. Will you get a bit stressed? Probably. Will you be close to tears at times? Possibly. But… you won’t be alone. We’ll be there with you, not only taking pictures of your day, but helping in any way we can ahead of time to make things run smoothly, on time, and stress-free. Don’t worry! You’ve got this! It’s a good bet you’ll never have a day like this again. Enjoy it. Live it up. Dance until you can’t stand. Hug and kiss until your cheeks are redder than an alcoholic at Christmas. But most of all, just HAVE FUN.We’ll try not to post the embarrassing shots on Instagram from the reception.

Every photographer brings something different to their craft, and some may offer things another may not. In our experience of over 150 weddings, we've learned that some photographers - especially those just starting out - may be cutting costs in certain areas to secure bookings. Insurance, extra hard drives/batteries/cameras, storage for backing up files, professional backup gear, additional shooters, lighting... these things are all part of a photographer’s cost of doing business. If you’ve found someone whose price seems too good to be true, it might be because something is missing behind-the-scenes that could put your images at risk. Beware the "natural light photographer" - in the industry, we read that as "not familiar with using flash" - something usually imperative in dark reception halls!

Typically, we book up 12-18 months ahead of a wedding date, with the months of May to October booking up the most quickly. That being said, please let us know if your date is sooner than that - we may still have it open, or still have some team members available!

We're pretty sure nobody would ask their hairstylist, grocer, or lawyer for a discount, and the same applies here. Over a third of what you pay goes directly to taxes (yay!), with additional costs for advertising, file storage, extra staff, equipment, insurance, and the hours of editing that go into ensuring your images are perfect after the day itself. While we do not typically discount our listed prices as we believe them to be competitive for the quality and experience we bring, we are happy to tailor something to you.
