As of tomorrow, we are officially allowed to start shooting again—yay!—but for the time being, it’s not quite a full return to normal.

The government has allowed us to resume operation as long as we are still ensuring safety for everyone, and as long as the numbers are below ten people (including vendors). For weddings, sadly, this has resulted in a lot of rescheduling, however I’m loving seeing the creative ways our couples are coming up with still honouring their original dates, with smaller gatherings/elopements taking place now, and a big celebration to look forward to next year with friends and family. That said, it does seem like May 2021 is an extremely popular rescheduling option and our dates for this month are very limited, so if you are thinking of rescheduling, the time to do it is now, as every vendor in the wedding industry is now trying to accommodate twice as many bookings for the next year and your Plan B date may have already been taken. Fridays and Sundays are becoming popular options, and luckily we have a team of six shooters to accommodate.

That said, this week brings good news—we are officially allowed to capture your beautiful faces again, providing we keep a safe distance, follow the government’s guidelines, and numbers are small. This means mini sessions, maternity, portrait, family, lifestyle and engagement sessions are all able to once again take place! 🙂

I have missed being part of your milestones, celebrations, and epic love stories more than I can say. Interacting with people in love, pushing creative boundaries, being trusted to capture incredible memories that celebrate human connection… it is the ultimate honour, and I’m so excited to be able to slowly return to full operation. If you’d like to set something up, get in touch by DMing or emailing emily@stardustphotography.ca. Can’t wait to see you soon!
