After hearing about the tragedy of the beautiful Hawthorn Estates burning down last year, I was excited to see what the rebuild looked like at this wedding, and goodness, was it lovely! The grounds were the perfect setting for the ceremony surrounded by beautiful flowers and foliage, and “Lover’s Lane” was an amazing backdrop for a first look as well as some sunset photos later in the evening. Oh, and for petting kitties! I loved that Melanie loved cats as much as I do! The skies were incredible on this day – we were a little worried about thunderstorms, but all we had was a brilliant, dramatic sky, which made for some amazing photos. The reception took place inside Hawthorn Estates, and I love that their cake was made of tiers of cheese!
