Candice and Josh… a tale of serendipity. When I shot their engagement session last year, I was pregnant and had a broken foot and a moon boot. (Points for glamour!) This meant my dear husband came along too, to lug around all my gear. We traipsed through Winnipeg’s Exchange District… an hour went by… and another… and by the end of it, we’d hit it off so well that we went for food and drinks afterward, bonded over music commonalities, and a four-way friendship was born! I was so excited to shoot their wedding, and was humbled and amazed that these two sweethearts actually thanked both me and my husband in their speech! The day was amazing – after getting ready, we began with a first look at the venue, Fort Gibraltar, on a very sunny day, then went to the beautiful Hamilton Building for photos followed by a quick bite and a beer at the King’s Head Pub before heading back to the Fort to actually tie the knot. A wonderfully fun and beautiful day – congrats to Candice and Josh (and to absent Maid of Honour Rhiannon, who gave birth the night before!)
