I think Elani and Richie may have picked the very best day in 2022 to celebrate their wedding! I'd met them earlier in the year, in the grips of winter, to take some photos at The Forks immediately after their elopement. I loved that Elani was wearing a short white dress on a -35 degree day - Winnipeg brides are champs! They planned on having their ceremony and celebration with all their loved ones later in the year, and it couldn't have been lovelier.
The Qualico Centre is a stunning venue, especially when surrounded by the majestic colours of early October. The temperature was perfect, the leaves were stunningly vibrant, and the surrounding Assiniboine Park is always a beautiful space for photos. Their emotional vows in front of everyone were enough to move me to tears, and I loved the surprise video of well-wishes from relatives far away alongside a video "message" from their sweet little pup!! The music was amazing, and I couldn't help but take several hundred shots of their guests on the dancefloor - people young and old were busting the moves, and watching a family of breakdancers was amazing.
So happy for this lovely couple, and so grateful to have been included on such a beautiful day!
