Despite the pandemic changing literally everyone’s wedding plans this year, one thing I’m enjoying seeing is a rise in small, intimate celebrations. This shows a focus toward what’s truly important – not necessarily all the little details or the countless extra relatives, but the people who show up and support your love in your daily life, and, of course, promising forever to your person. 🙂 Ashleigh and Akintunde were the first to have their ceremony on their own front steps for me, and they incorporated touches of their home throughout the day – check out the Up-inspired thumb-print guest book painted by the bride herself! After a beautifully moving ceremony in the front yard, we headed to The Cloakroom – an absolutely stunning space above a furniture shop in Winnipeg’s Exchange District. Sooooo much beautiful light and lots of time allotted for pictures made us happy shooters! We finished up with some photos along Waterfront Drive. Ashleigh’s dress was actually purchased at a thrift store and customized to include the colours matching the orange and pink theme, and the tulle streamers hung up in the branches looked amazing – I’m always happy when colour takes centre stage!
Congratulations Ashleigh and T on your beautiful day!
