What an excellent day! Anna and Cole's wedding was a true masterpiece. The sky was dark blue and dramatic, with clouds so heavy you could almost feel the raindrops. I love skies that burst with the threat of a massive storm at any moment. Coupled with outdoor flash, ominous
The ceremony took place at the Marlborough Hotel downtown, and it was nothing short of stunning. The candlelit sconces created a warm and intimate atmosphere, and the hand-made archway of books was a dream come true. If only I had the space for it, I would have bought it from them in a heartbeat! And can we talk about the string quartet playing the Jurassic Park theme during the recessional song? That was pure magic. I could feel the nostalgia in the air, and it was such a delightful touch.
But let me tell you, the dinosaurs stole the show! Anna had some figurines holding rings that made a few appearances in the formal photos, and we even got some prehistoric poses in there too. It was a unique and fun addition that really showcased the couple's personalities and interests.
We then took some stunning photos at the St. Boniface Basilica, followed by an amazing space downtown called Beyond Boundaries. The contrast between the old-world charm of the basilica and the modern, industrial feel of Beyond Boundaries was fantastic. It allowed us to capture a variety of moods and tones in the photos, and the result was truly breathtaking.
The reception was held at Kitchen Sync, which was decorated with the book arch I loved so much, and a rich colour palette of red, black, and gold. And let me tell you, Anna's outfit change was pure perfection. Her soft pink fairytale gown made of daydreams was stunning, but her sequinned, form-fitting dress and sparkling cat ear headband was the cherry on top. The dancefloor was never empty, and I couldn't be happier for this couple and their family.
Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with love, laughter, and dinosaurs. I feel so grateful to have been a part of it and to have captured these beautiful moments. Congratulations to Anna and Cole!
