Love always finds a way, and for Brad and Jen, a blizzard was no match for their winter engagement session. Originally scheduled for a date that was hit with a heavy snowstorm, the couple had to reschedule their session once already. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans, and a second blizzard arrived on their new date! But they were up for an adventure, so we forged ahead with the shoot.

I do love shooting in the snow; it adds a magical, romantic element to photos, but it can also pose a challenge. The snow can create low visibility (this was seriously white-out conditions!) and it can be tough for couples to stay warm during the shoot.

Assiniboine Forest is always one of my favourite spots for winter sessions, with white-trunked birch trees and untouched snow. The snow-covered trees and endless white paths made for a stunning backdrop, and the full on Arctic conditions made for some unique photos!

Despite the snow and cold, Brad and Jen's love for each other shone through in every photo. I appreciated their sense of adventure (and willingness to lose feeling in their extremities) for the sake of these fun memories!
