It’s always been a dream to shoot a wedding at the prestigious Fort Garry Hotel (and not just because I love ghost stories and it happens to be one of Winnipeg’s most haunted spots!). The seventh floor is home to two exquisite ballrooms, with soaring 22-foot ceilings and a breathtaking foyer (complete with fireplaces) linking the path between them. Historic, stately and ornate, this venue is a pure fairytale dream. Rammy and I had the chance to work with an amazing team for the day – if you’re still looking for vendors, I cannot recommend these highly enough! Special thanks to the following for sharing their work and talents with us for this shoot (especially on a busy Mother’s Day!):

Photography: Emily and Rammy, Stardust Photography | Facebook | Instagram
Models: Brianne (Instagram) and John (Instagram)
Hair: Amber C. Hobbs, The Aveda Institute | Instagram
Makeup: Melinda Gulbinski, The Babe Cave | Facebook | Instagram
Bridal gown: The Elizabeth gown by Anna Lang Bridal; veil and headpiece also from Anna Lang
Florals: Gayle at McDiarmid Flowers
Jewellery: Sutton Smithworks

Each of our vendors/team members was incredibly generous. Brianne was a Winnipeg-recruited model for the shoot, and John is a friend of Emily’s (initially from the musical world). Amber and Melinda have both helped out Emily in the past on countless shoots, and their kindness, talent and creativity are always amazing and appreciated. Anna Lang was such fun to work with, and lent us the “Fort Garry dress” as well as a beautiful veil and crown, and Tom and Peggy at Sutton’s spent an afternoon going through many various options from their stunning collection. Heartfelt thanks to all who took part in making this come to life!
