The almost-year between Taylor and TJ’s engagement shoot last autumn and their wedding day went so fast! I was looking forward to this one for a while – not only would there be photos by the water, but there were also going to be DOGS in the wedding party! The wedding took place out in Gimli, on probably one of the hottest days of the year, and it was amazing to have such a variety of backdrops for photos – wheat fields, beaches, and an epic pink smoke bomb 🙂

Taylor and TJ had known each other throughout high school, and began seeing each other the year after she graduated. She then moved to Winnipeg, and they went their separate ways. After three years, one of Taylor’s friend’s threw a party, and saw TJ – when he saw her, he literally walked through the fire instead of going around it to talk to her! They’ve been inseparable since that night. A year afterward, they went to Hecla Island to celebrate their anniversary. TJ had planned on proposing there on a cute little bridge, but didn’t account for the fact that it was about minus thirty and the bridge had been taken down for winter! So while they were in their hotel room getting ready to go to the pool, Taylor was pouring herself a glass of wine, and turned around and there was TJ holding out that beautiful ring. She was completely taken aback and speechless, so he eventually actually got down on one knee, she said yes and then Facetimed her mum right away!

The wedding was rustic, filled with lots of burlap, lace, and greenery, and country touches. Vendors include:
